Occasionally I feel like I'm getting closer to her... at times. Who determines what a wonder-woman is anyway? I can write that it was a wonder I did full blown yard work today. If what went on were a show today, tickets would have been sold out and forgotten cameras to this show would have been a huge disappointment. Yes, I got a weird look from a passer-byer and a neighbor that wanted to come to my pathetic looking rescue. I did it. Edger, lawnmower, blower... oh my! A little pulling weeds and trimming trees on occasion were therapeutic in my old days. Times have changed. Now give me a landscaped front and dirt back-yards that have been unkempt for the Lord knows how long and untouched for months... I got this. I also "got" plenty of other things with this prissy, independent attitude. Dirty nails on sore green fingers and mud streaks on my clothes with my hair falling out of my hat. I picked up the start of calluses and a new scent for myself. Powdery musk met sweaty gasoline mixed with a fresh grass aroma today. It complemented my new sexy shoes I designated for doing yard work. It doesn't sound like so much fun, but with the right attitude and music I assure you it is! It's a new workout for me... and I'll take it. It's one more thing I feel accomplished about. It certainly adds to the list of things tallied up to make me believe women can, and will, get passed what you put in front of her... and do it all. I'm sure this is one of the many new adventures yet to come in this column for me... bring it!
