Step into her shoes and walk the life she's living and if you get as far as she, just maybe you will see how strong she really is. Faith is first, her family is her everything and her story is her unique own.

This is a place where the love and stories of our family are shared. We hope you enjoy, and visit again soon...

Dino-Mania

I was reading the "Town newsy" and saw an ad for the Walking With The Dinosaurs Live Show. The boys are loathingly in love with these prehistoric buddies so I of course ordered tickets for all of us that evening. We have the BBC DVD set of Walking With The Dinosaurs, which has love scratches from being watched so much. They were pumped to say the very least. I was very curious how people could mimic ton-pounded creatures and do a show on them, so I was pretty excited too. I have to admit though... I did something very cheesy. My girlfriend was honest enough to tell me that it was "something older women do". So having the mindset of an older woman, I made us T-shirts for the show. It really got the boys reved up... Steve was a little worried how his was going to turn out. They looked great, and I am proud to say I got more than uno compliments on them. The show was FANTABULOUS!!

The dinosaurs actually looked and sounded real. The boys sat in awe over the show and listened politely. Being a kid show/event, you have kid things that happen right?! During the intermission, the little boy behind us decides he's had enough popcorn and out spued the puke. It was literally 3 inches from Steve's head, and I wiffed it the rest of the show. The was definitely kid stained by that time.

Build-A-Bear

My little one goes to a fantabulous pre-school nearby. My oldest (now in Kindergarten) went there throughout all of his preschool years as well. I met the owners before they started their pre-school, and when I heard about what they were going to do in their school, I knew it was going to be the best preschool for our kids. One of the things that they do every year is build their "class pet". This is done on a field trip to Build-A-Bear. If you aren't familiar with that place, you pick out your unstuffed animal, and you can: stuff it, put a sound in it, put a heart in it, give it a bath, name it, and clothe it. The place even has car seats for the completed stuffies. :) Its really, a cute place. So, all the preschoolers in the class come here with the teachers. My little one's class picked out a teddy bear that has eyebrows- soooooo cute! They all got to help create him. They decided to name him "Henry". Yes, how creative huh! I guess he had to have a more sophisticated name with having eyebrows and all you know. :) I am proud to let you all know my sweet boy is a man shopper at age 4 already. In the middle of making our bear creation, my sweety says "aren't we done yet?" So, I think he will turn out to be one of those men that you see in the store hanging out in the front waiting for his significant other on a bench. You know the one that stares at everyone like "hurry this up so I can get the heck outta here".

Now that he is made, each child in the class will get an opportunity to take him home and spend a week with him. We get to write a story in his book and my preschooler shares it with his class. We can't wait!!!

Obama

I am shamefully honest to say that I am not deeply connected to politics, but would love to learn more if I had the time. I know some general things about Obama and McCain. From what I know, and the more I know... my vote is with McCain. My grandparents sent me this email with some mortifying truth in a video with Obama and his "pro-choice". Don't get me wrong, I think that there are circumstances where an abortion may be necessary, however there is a big difference from "pro-choice" and "infanticide" in my book. This did it for me. I get this really creepy feeling when I look at his eyes too. Please watch the video.

Fire & Ice

Every year my church puts on this event, Fire & Ice. Its were we all come together for some fun with free ice-cream and a fireworks show. At the event there were over 30 bounce houses and slides. The kids had a BLAST!! I brought their suits just in case there were some water slides amongst the 30 something slides they had there, and there was. That's straight where the boys went too. But instead of using water on the slides, there was foam. It was so much fun to see them so happy and creatively playing in the soapy foamy mess... yes that was their bath that night too. :)

Then we decided to go get some treats, and boy was their some selection. I love the word free too... some people say nothing is free in life... but I know that's not true- there are many things free! There was otter pops, ice cream sandwiches, fudgesicles, and tons more... I even spotted a help-yourself slushy machine. After getting our goods we trotted on over to get a spot for the fireworks. We had the great company of my mom and two of my brothers, along with my friend Lindsay and her family. Lindsay is a friend I met in Nursing School. She is sweet as pie... such a positive person and so much fun to be around. She is going to make a great Nurse! There are two locations of our church, and she goes to the opposite campus from me... so it was nice to hang out with her and her family there. We had a wonderful time all together!!!
